Five skaters and a goalie a side, three short periods, and a whole lot of attitude. Easy to learn in a minute, hard to put down.
Choose from 42 clubs of the European Hockey Union. Every team has its own crest, colours and strengths.
Each player presses a button to join, on a gamepad or the keyboard. Alone, the CPU plays the other side.
Skate, pass, shoot, check. Hold the shoot button for a slapshot.
Win your way through 16 teams and four rounds of the Union Cup, saved after every game.
A red arrow in the crease shows where a shot will go. Keep your goalie in front of it.
Check the same puck carrier too often and the two of you tangle: mash A. Fights at the boards play out as their own scene, with high and low punches and blocks.
The referee calls penalties. Serve your time in the box and the other team gets a power play.
Aim, shoot or deke as the shooter. As the goalie, commit to a save. Tied games go to a shootout, then sudden death.
Hold a button to take control of the goalie yourself.
Every team's four ratings (skating, shooting, goalie, fighting) add up to the same total, so no club is simply the best. Just different.
One game, against the CPU or each other.
One player, 16 teams, four rounds. Saved after every game, so you can come back.
Five shots a side, then sudden death.
JUNIOR, COLLEGE and PRO, for the CPU.
A flat cartoon space shooter, and GLACIER the polar bear with the ice resurfacer.
LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH, from an older laptop to a gaming PC.
A league that never existed, in a world where Canada is an associate member of the EU. Fourteen clubs make up the Canadian Conference, one for every province and territory plus the First Nations Thunderbirds. Twenty-eight make up the Euro Conference, one for the capital of every member state plus the Sápmi Reindeer. Every team, crest, sponsor and player is invented.
